Four young men who stole a wallet containing just $100 barely escaped being lynched from a mob by the police in Port Harcourt.
According to an eyewitness, Emmytex Kpako Emeka, the boys snatched a man's wallet containing $100 at the Mile 4 area of the city and were nabbed by a vigilante group where they had gone to change the dollars at the Presidential Hotel area, after the man had reported the theft.
Trust Nigerians, the criminals were stripped and given the beating of their lives before they were rescued by the police who whisked them away to forestall any attempt to lynch them by the crowd.
