A man in Jos, the capital of Plateau State named Dele has taken the life of his girlfriend, Nanchin following his anger over the latter not spending Valentines' Day with him.

On Valentines' Day, the man had expected that they will both spend the day together, but got disappointed when she went out without him.

This made him very angry and the lady knowing that he is going to beat her avoiding returning home that evening even as the man reportedly waited till 11 PM on the day.
He visited her as early as 7 AM the next day where he had breakfast.
It was after this that she was found dead at her residence in Tina junction in the capital of Plateau.
Dele is described as a man full of temper, regularly beating her whenever they have an altercation even though she is the one that takes responsibility for their upkeep, especially feeding.
His girlfriend, before her death has requested for a separation from him, but he refused to agree with her choice to end the relationship, reportedly coming back to her at will.
