Another young Nigerian soldier has been killed by the Boko Haram sect.
Another young Nigerian soldier, Major Auwal Sa'ad, has paid the ultimate price by sacrificing himself for the unity of the nation, after he was killed by the dreaded Boko Haram insurgents in an attack in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, a few days ago.
The Kano Stat born Major Sa'ad's death has been creating a unifying force for Nigerians as the social media has been torn apart by sympathizers who see such death as acts of selflessness needed by all to foster unity in the country.
One of such friends, Ahmed Mamudu, gave this eulogy:
"The sacrifice of hero's past shall never be in vain. A young Nigerian hero from Kano State has paid the ultimate price.
Major Auwal Sa'ad died while fighting to save Nigeria from Boko Haram insurgents at Maiduguri on Tuesday.
Major Sa'ad died gallantly and we pay that Almighty Allah accepts his return, forgives his short comings and grants him generous provisions for his sacrifice during National service."
May his soul rest in peace.
