Thieves and Vandals Police arrest fake military officers who stole N60m worth of cable

According to reports, the suspects arrived the scene in army uniforms, where they beat up a worker at the communication company after he had confronted them.

Some hoodlums and a military officer have been arrested by the Lagos State Police Command, for vandalising and stealing cable belonging to a telecommunication company in Lagos. 

The cable, which is said to be worth N60m belonged to Peace Global Satellite Communications Limited (PGSC). 

A worker of the company reportedly challenged them while they were carrying out their operation.  This led to an assault of the worker by the so-called military operative.

The unidentified staff member of the communication company reported the matter to Ojodu Police Division, which led to an investigation. 

Damasus Ozoani, the Deputy Police Public Relations Officer, while relating the incident with newsmen said the suspects were detained after they had written a statement. 

Ozoani added that investigations have commenced into the matter, and that the suspects would soon be charged to court.
