Four men, Hillary Joseph, Mudasshiru Bako, Nasiru Haruna and Hamisu Yashi, have been arrested by the Bauchi State Police Command over their involvement in the death of a 25-year-old lady, Rose Luka, after an abortion they secured for her went wrong, sending her to an early grave, reports Daily Post.
4 men arrested over lady's death during abortion
Four men have been arrested in Bauchi for causing the death of a woman through abortion.
According to the State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), DSP Haruna Mohammed, after the death of the lady, the four men conspired amongst themselves and hurriedly buried her in a shallow grave.
According to Mohammed, Bako was the quack medicine seller who allegedly sold and administered the abortion drugs to the victim.
“On November 9, 2015, at about 17:00hrs, following intelligence report, police detectives attached to Tafawa Balewa Housing Estate Division, Bauchi, arrested four suspects in Bayan Gari Area, who conspired and hurriedly buried a 25-year-old female, Rose Luka from Adamawa State, in a shallow grave at a compound in Bayan Gari.
Preliminary investigation revealed that the victim allegedly died as a result of complications from abortion.
The scene of crime was visited by Forensic experts attached to Criminal investigation department and corpse exhumed, photographed and taken to Bauchi University Teaching hospital for autopsy,” Mohammed added.
Mohammed further revealed that exhibits recovered from the suspects include two Shovels, one sachet of Diclofene tablets, one sachet of menbendezalen with four tablets, Daltic tablets, Predimisolene Eight tablets, Bunto blood tonic and a bottled water mixed with substance suspected to be drugs.
