Hunter who shot Bush Pig arrested after the animal transformed into his friend
A hunter who shot a bush pig has been remanded in prison after the animal transformed into his close friend and hunting colleague.
The incident reportedly happened on September 9, 2016, at Iwaraji Camp via Efon Alaaye in Efon Alaaye-Ekiti.
The prosecutor in the case, Monica Ikebulo, had told the court that the accused claimed to have at the bush pig but was later surprised when it transformed into his friend.
Ikebulo added that the accused confessed that on the said date, he had gone on the hunting expedition with eight of his colleagues for a group hunting including Oluwashina and shot at the animal with his dane gun.
The prosecutor thereafter, applied for an adjournment to enable her duplicate and send the office to the Director of Public Prosecution for legal advice.
The Magistrate, Modupe Afeniforo, directed Ikebulo to duplicate the file and send it to the Director of Public Prosecution for a legal opinion while adjourning the case till November 11, for further mention.
