The former wife of singer 9ice, Toni Payne, is gradually carving a niche for herself as the mother defender who is always in a hurry to lend her support to anyone or group she feels is ill-treated.
Fresh from taking up arms against Rev. Chris Okotie over his insults on the Catholic Church, Toni has come out to defend Rhythm FM On Air Personality, Toke Makinwa, who has been under a barrage of attack for breaking up with her fiancé.
The Public Relations expert took to her Twitter handle to lend support to the under-fire Toke, blasting her detractors.
Read her words here:
“Everyone that has typed trash about Toke without even knowing her personally should be ashamed of themselves; what purpose does your evil serve?”
“Everyone that sets out to verbally and emotionally abuse Toke for no reason, your ring leader queen of sarcasm inclusive, God is watching you.”
“Where do we draw the line between constructive criticism and emotional abuse?”
“It is not until someone dies and gets hurt that we start saying, awwww, that was bad o… what example are they setting for the younger ones?”
“Any company that advertises on a site that promotes cyber bullying, is in fact encouraging the act and therefore should be boycotted.”
But who could Toni Payne be referring to here?
