In an incident that smirks of the bizarre, the family of a dead man in Oba, in Idemili South local government area of  Anambra State printed an obituary poster for him stating that he was murder by some people whose names were printed on the poster as well.

According to the poster, the man identified as Chimezie Ononye, was abducted and killed by his kinsmen who were jealous of his success in life.

Reports of the sad incident have it that Ononye who was the only surviving son of his parents, had battled through life and rose to a point where he wanted to build a house for his parents, something which allegedly stoked up envy and jealousy amongst his kinsmen who planned amongst themselves to murder the young man.

The reports state that on his arrival at the village to commence the building project, Ononye noticed that someone had already taken possession of the land which was bequeathed to him by his dad.

On investigation, Ononye found out that 10 of his kinsmen had connived to sell the land to someone else for a whopping N70 million nd when he confronted his kinsmen, they threatened him to steer clear of the land or lose his life.

The deceased allegedly filed a law suit against the men in court in a bid to recover his land and in the process, he was kidnapped and killed by some unknown persons but his immediate family has fingered the 10 kinsmen who sold the land as the killers of the young man.

They therefore put out their names on the obituary for all to see.

These are the names of the perceived suspects in the murder of the victim:

1. Mr Okechukwu Ilebuka

2. Chief Basil Okeke

3. Nze Alex Obodoekwe

4. Prof. A. O Animalu

5. Engr. Stephen Okonkwo

6. Mr Tochukwu Ananti

7. Engr. Fidelis Ejikume

8. Prince Chibueze Onwugbolu
