27-yr-old man docked for raping colleague

A 27-year-old man has been dragged to a court in Lagos for raping his colleague.

Real men don't rape women

Micheal Agboola, a 27-year-old man has been arraigned before an Ikeja Magistrate’s Court sitting in Lagos State, for allegedly raping his female colleague within the premises of the company they both work located at Allen Avenue, Ikeja.

The Vanguard reports that Agboola, a Geographic Information System expert in the company, had, on December 9, 2015, forcefully raped the female colleague and the case was reported at the Isokoko Police Station and the suspect was arrested and detained.

He was then charged to court by the police after obtaining a test result indicating the victim was actually defiled sexually.

The report also stated that the General Manager of the company, had, in his statement, allege that the lady had reported Agboola several times of harassing her but never thought he could descend as low as to raping her.

The police prosecutor, Inspector Uche Simon, had earlier told the court that Agboola was the immediate boss of the victim, and used his position to perpetrate the act.

The accused, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge when it was read to him and the magistrate, Samuel Olori, adjourned the case to January 15, 2016, for commencement of the trial, while granting him bail in the sum of N100,000.
