For allegedly kidnapping a teenage girl and keeping him hidden in his house as his sex slave for several days, a 35-year-old man, Osita Molokwu, has been arrested by the police in Lagos State and charged to court charged to court for unlawfully detention for sexual intercourse under the Criminal Code.

Molokwu was arraigned at the Ejigbo Magistrates’ Court after he was arrested for kidnapping the girl, Ogechi Emmanuel, and keeping her in his residence at 22, Moriamo Adeshina Street, Abaranje, Ikotun, for several days without the knowledge of her parents and repeatedly had sex with her.
The girl’s mother, Christiana Emmanuel, was later informed that Ogechi was in Molokwu’s house and when she went there to take her back, he refused, telling the mother to go back home and when he was through with her daughter, he would return her back to her parents' house.

This reply prompted the mother to report the case at the Ikotun Police station and Molokwu was arrested. He allegedly told the police that he wanted to marry the girl and as such, he did not abduct and detain her as they claimed.
However, the girl told the police that Molokwu detained her and had sex with her against her wish but could not explain why she did not raise any alarm to attract the other residents of the compound.
