A member of the National Youth Service Corps scheme has been seriously injured by armed robbers who stormed their lodge in Rivers State.
According to a fellow Corps member who posted the picture of the injured man, Humphrey Duru, on social media, the hoodlums numbering about 15, stormed the lodge in the early hours of July 10, 2016, and met four corpers and decided to visit them with mayhem after robbing them of their valuables like money, phones and electronic gadgets.
"On the 10th of July 2016, the Corpers lodge in Bori, the capital of Khana LGA of Rivers State, was attacked by about 15 armed robbers by 4 am.
Four corpers were present, whose names are Duru Humphrey (pictured), Aroh Ifeanyi, Ebenezer Benson and Onyekachi Christian.
They were dispossessed of their valuables including money and gadgets. The robbers used machete to inflict injuries on the innocent corps members before leaving the area."
"Up till now, the government is yet to react to this and even the hospital bills were payed by the victimized corps members."
