Man who slaughtered wife in Lagos also dead after drinking poison
A man who slaughtered his wife on allegations of infidelity is also dead after drinking poison.
On May 27, 2017, Jafaru Sougie had allegedly slit the throat of his wife of 21 years, Roseline and had attempted to kill himself by drinking a substance said to be poison and was being treated at the Police Hospital in Ikoyi, but he could not make it as he allegedly gave up the ghost few days after the wife was buried.
According to Odumakin, who shared the pictures of Sougie's corpse on Twitter, he also lost the battle, leaving his four children orphans.

Sougie, who was said to be jobless, was reportedly angry that his trader wife was the one providing for the family and he often accused her of sleeping with other men who provided her with the things she used to take care of the family.
