Roc Nation rapper Jay Z also pays tribute to Nelson Mandela. Although the super star hasn’t made his way to South Africa yet, Jay Z performed a show-stopping tribute to the Great Madiba at the Staples Centre, Los Angeles last night.
Jay Z Sings For Mandela
Jigga hammers on the greatness of Nelson Mandela to thousands in LA
Just before the rapper performed his Forever young classic, he screamed out to the sold-out ground, "We wanna dedicate this song to Nelson Mandela." He then continued, "That man spent 27 years in prison and came out to be a president."According to TMZ, the crowd sang along and put cell phones in the air. But some critics are hammering on Jigga because during his summer tour, he frequently performed the song and dedicated it to Trayvon Martin.
It’s not like the song is NOT appropriate for Mandela, but doesn't he have another song for the ex South African president?
