Late Dagrin Remembered Today
It is exactly 4 years today since the late rapper, Oladapo Olaitan Olaonipekun, also known as Dagrin, left this world after he was involved in a ghastly motor accident.
Within a short time, the well loved Dagrin who was also known as Baracko Grin, Lyrical Were, Fi Mi Le Jo, won many awards and was nominated for the Nigerian Entertainment Awards for Best Album (C.E.O.), Hottest Single 'Pon Pon Pon', Best Rap Act and Best Collaboration with vocals.
His album C.E.O. (Chief Executive Omota English: Chief Executive Gangster), won the Hip hop World Award 2010 for best rap album. From the album came hit singles like 'Pon Pon Pon', and 'Kondo'.
He was the hottest thing in Nigerian music as at that time and had done lots of collabos with the likes of Y.Q, 9ice, Rugged Man, Oritse Femi, M.I, Iceberg Slim, Terry G, Code, Reminise, Omowumi, Chudy K, Bigiano, and Konga.
He associated with music producers like Sossick, Dr. Frabz, Sheyman, and Frenzy.
Rest in peace Dagrin!
