Readers say they will not run a joint account with their spouses

68.7% of voters cannot all be wrong when they say they cannot keep a joint bank account with their partners.

Under normal circumstances, a husband and his wife should not keep any secret as they are one body by virtue of their marriage.

But when it comes to finances, some people believe there should be a measure of limit here. So on Pulse Nigeria Poll of Friday, 28 November, we asked you to vote if you would be open to running a joint bank account with your partner.

The votes were overwhelming as lots of respondents voted against the idea. We had a total of 68.7% of the voters saying they would not run a joint bank account with their partners while 31.3% of the voters see nothing wrong in keeping a joint account with their partners.
