Readers Say They Will Never Reject A Mother Who Is Branded A Witch

73.9% of Pulse Nigeria readers say they will never abandon their mothers who has been branded a witch.

A week ago, Nigerian born Togo international striker, Emmanuel Adebayor, came out to accuse his mother of being a witch and hindering his progress in life.

The Tottenham FC of England attacker who has played for some top clubs like Arsenal, Manchester City and Real Madrid, was reported to have sent his mother out of his mansion in Lome, the capital of Togo, telling her he does not want to have anything to do with her.

But his family have also come out to deny that their mother is a a witch, and blamed Adebayor for believing outsiders who want to destroy the family.

Pulse Nigeria put up a poll with the question: Would you turn your back on your mother after a revelation that she is a witch?

A majority of the readers who voted however faulted the footballer who they think is still behaving like the typical African man despite his exposure, and should not abandon his mother no matter what he is told.

A whopping 73.9% of voters say they will never abandon their mothers even if she is branded a witch while a mere 26.1% say they will not have anything to do with such a mother.
