Readers say they will divorce a spouse who used charms on them

Kanayo is really confused after a man of God revealed the source of his dwindling business and traced it to his wife, Nkiru.

It takes a lot for a man to cry

Now he has to send her packing and go back to Chinwe who was his betrothed before Nkiru came into his life.

Read his story here:

"My name is Kanayo, a 48-year-old man. I have been married for 18 years with five children but I have just found out that my wife, Nkiru, actually charmed me into marrying her because she was not the woman I wanted to get married to.

I know many people may wonder how possible it is for a man to stay married to a woman for that long without realizing she used charms on him. I would have reasoned that way too if it did not happen to me.

I actually wanted to get married Chinwe, my childhood sweetheart and both our parents were happy with our choice and supported us. When I left home to join my uncle in Lagos to learn a trade after my secondary school, it was with the intention that once I gained my freedom and start my business, Chinwe and I would be married.

But it was not to be because shortly after I started out in business, I went home to spend the Christmas and that was when I met Nkiru. Chinwe had gone to visit her sister who had given birth in another town.

As a Lagos boy, I decided to catch a little fun with Nkiru while waiting for Chinwe to come back. The first day she visited our house, I remember vividly how my mother warned me against having anything to do with her.

Mother's fear was that Nkiru was from a family notorious for diabolical means but I assured mother that I had nothing to do with Nkiru, that she only came on a visit.

If only I had listened to my mother, I would not be in this mess today but I did not. The next day, Nkiru visited me again and brought a freshly prepared bowl of 'fufu' and bitter-leaf soup which I ate with great relish.

That seemed to be the beginning because, after that day, no other woman meant anything to in my life but Nkiru. Even when Chinwe came back and visited our house, I practically chased her away and told her never to come close to me again.

She cried, begged, sent her friends and sisters to find out what the problem was but I turned all of them away. When my parents got on my nerves on the Chinwe issue, I left home and stayed away for a long while.

Meanwhile, Nkiru had come to meet me in Lagos where we started living together as husband and wife before we solemnized our marriage after two children.

You can then imagine my surprise when a man of God revealed to me some months ago that Nkiru was not my wife, that she used charms to snatch me from my real wife and that if I do not send her away and marry Chinwe, I would amount to nothing.

By the way, I had to go to the man of God because, in the past five years, my business has been going from bad to worse and at a point, I had gone down from owing over 15 shops to just one and that one was never filled with goods.

I have lost so much money and businesses in the last five years that I have contemplated suicide several times. I have moved from a duplex to a room in a 'face-me-me-I-face-you' rundown house.

That was the reason I went to the pastor in the first place. My wife has also confessed that she actually used charms on me and has asked that I forgive her but now that my eyes have been opened, how can I ever live with her again?

But the problem is that Chinwe is married though I also hear she has been having issues with her husband and has left him on more than three occasions.

What do I do?

Kanayo."
