Black Bats invades emergency section of hospital
An invasion of small bats has led to the closure of the emergency section of a hospital in east Texas.
Good Shepherd Medical Centre said "a number of small bats" had moved into the Longview-based hospital's standalone emergency unit in nearby Kilgore.
The bats were in the building's walls and ceilings with some even moving into the area where the ambulances go, the hospital added.
Emergency medical services have had to be suspended in the hospital, as efforts are made to have the animals removed.
