Woman steals bus after being told to stop smoking
A New York woman stole a Metropolitan Transportation Authority bus after being told to stop smoking.
The incident occurred around 7 a.m. on Tuesday when the woman lit a cigarette in the back of the bus and was asked to put it out and get off, MTA spokesman Kevin Ortiz told CBS New York.
The woman then became angry, and she tried to hijack the bus from the driver.
The driver pulled over, called the police and let passengers off so they can catch another bus.
According to NBC New York, a second bus blocked her path after she travelled about four blocks.
A dispatcher then reached through the window and shut the buss down as police took the woman into custody. UPI news added.
