Deputies in Florence, an area just outside south LA, received a call about an armed robbery at around 4.30am.

Within seconds of their arrival, residents heard gunshots – and a man was found dead on the pavement.

Officers told local station ABC 7 that the man they killed matched the description of the robbery suspect, because he was wearing black shorts and a black hoodie.

When they pulled up, the suspect apparently quickly turned and pointed at them like he had a gun – but it was just his finger.
