Daily Mail reveals Crickmore's story which was so bad that she had problems walking long distances as well as her constant tiredness.

Although Crickmore had been naturally slim back in her school days, she has added weight in her twenties, becoming so desperate to shed some of the weight that she had considered a gastric bypass for a while.

The property manager turned fitness model had continually insisted that she was happy, despite being urged by her friends to shed some of the weight.

Speaking on her journey, Crickmore said:

"I felt beautiful. My husband thought I was beautiful. But the outside pressure from friends and family made me very self-conscious."

Crickmore revealed that she had not been inspired to lose weight until December 2011, when a friend of hers, Karla, had shown up at her home, one and a half stone lighter.

The fitness model recalled how she had thought to herself that, if her friend could do it, she could do the same.

Following internet searches over the next few days on diets and eating in smaller portions but more frequently, Crickmore began her weight loss journey.

Following little but obvious weight loss differences, Crickmore had later felt inspired to work out and exercise, and although she had felt 'too heavy and ashamed' to join a gym, she had begun walking in the local park close to her home, with her husband driving her there and waiting for her.

"I wanted to jog, but because I was so fat I had to walk first. I walked every day, rain or shine, for an hour, and then jog as I became lighter."

Eight months later, Crickmore had felt confident enough to join a gym, which she had done coupled with her new eating habits, making astounding and encouraging progress.

"Being able to eat anything without gaining a pound, my husband and son, Luy didn't want to share my new eating habits, foods or even join the walks."

Crickmore described her 'self-protection mechanism' which had made her stop cooking for her husband and son in a bid to hang on to the hard work she had put into achieving the weight loss she had, especially after her diets began to require very different cooking routines.

"The new me felt great, active and wanting more out of life. I wanted to hike, camp, travel, meet people. I became so active that I even stopped watching TV."

Crickmore began losing an average of 9lbs a month, before she eventually slimmed down from a size 18 to a trim size 6.

Sadly, the mother-of-one believes her new healthy lifestyle had revealed the cracks in her relationship, driving a wedge between herself and her husband as their priorities began to differ.

They had eventually separated after nine long years of marriage but Crickmore reveals that she has no regrets about the changes in her life, which has helped her become the person she is today, with a new determination to help others who are like her.

"I want to help people. It makes me feel good."

Crickmore's desire to help others, fed her interest in bodybuilding, which led her to take a degree in sports nutrition and now has high hopes of turning her weight loss into a career by becoming a fitness coach.
