Gruesome 21-yr-old sentenced to death for murdering boyfriend, cutting out his heart

News reports have revealed that a 21-year-old lady has reportedly been sentenced to death for for murdering her boyfriend.

The reports reveal that the young lady, Fatema Akhter Sonali, had reportedly acted out of revenge after the victim, Emdadul Haq Shipon, a 28-year-old part-time lift attendant at a hospital, had refused to marry her after sleeping with her.

Quazi Shabbir Ahmed, the prosecutor on the case also reveals that the victim had secretly made recordings of the couple having sex.

Miss Sonali reportedly found not just video footage of herself and her lover, but another of the victim having sex with another woman on his laptop.

Ahmed revealed to AFP, saying:

“It’s rare for a woman to be sentenced to death. But her case was exceptional.

"She admitted to the court she killed her lover, Emdadul Haq Shipon, for refusing to marry her and for keeping a recording video of their sexual intercourse in his laptop."

Miss Sonali revealed in her confession that she had drugged Shipon using a soft drink she had added 20 sleeping pills to, binding his hands and feet after he fell unconscious and slitting his throat.

She added that she had then cut open his chest and removed his heart, revealing to the court that she had been curious to see how big his heart was.

Ahmed added:

“She told the court that she was curious to see how big his heart was. She said a man must have a big heart to carry out such audacious crimes.”

Miss Sonali who reportedly committed the murder in March of 2014 is said to be eligible to challenge the sentence in a higher court.

According to Tipu Sultan, a deputy inspector general of prisons, Miss Sonali will be the first woman to be hanged in Bangladesh if her prosecution goes through.
