Popular tailor murdered in Lagos
The popular tailor was found dead of gunshot wounds after he was declared missing. The police are currently investigating the death.
Oluwasegun Adegbenjo was found dead with gunshot wounds and according to Punch, the killers did not steal anything from him. His SUV which he brought to the uncompleted building was found untouched.
A source told the newspaper that Adegbenjo, a fashion designer, lived with his family in Iju-Ota, Ogun State.
A police source also told that Olagbenjo, was found in the site after his family declared him missing.
The source revealed that the police is yet to identify the killers but might be working on the theory that he was killed by some business partners.
“The family started searching for him when he could not be found and he was not picking his telephone. That was how they found him there. His wife could not bear the shock of the tragedy and had since been hospitalised,” the police source said.
“The police are still on the case and hopefully, his telephone, which was not taken away, could provide useful hints on what happened to him. But we are working on a theory that he went into a business deal with someone who then decided to kill him. He must have been into a deal, which is still under investigation.”
The spokesperson of the Lagos State Police Command, Kenneth Nwosu comfirmed the unsolved murder and revealed that the case has been transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department.
