Media Head, Nde Ndifonka calls it; Africa’s biggest collaboration ever!
D’banj, Angelique Kidjo, Asa, Krotal, Mafikizolo, Femi Kuti and other hugely talented stars from all parts of Africa are billed to come together for the ONE Campaign theme song to be produced by super talented music producer, Cobhams Asuquo.
According to the media head for ONE Campaign, Nde Ndifonka, this will become "Africa’s biggest music collaboration of all time". Speaking at a press conference in Lagos on January 27, Mr. Nde disclosed that the song is geared towards the celebration of 'The Year of Agriculture' as a means of alleviating poverty in the continent.
Multiple awards winning music producer, Cobhams Asuquo [worked with Asa, Timi Dakolo, Bez, Darey Arts Alade] was so excited to had been picked for the project, "I'm privileged to be part of ONE. It's time we all lend our voices as creative people to a course that is very strong in order to push our economy forward," he told pressmen in Lagos, "I guarantee that we will create a killer jam!" he assured.
Even though the song’s title hasn't been disclosed yet, Nde confirmed that the song will also be followed with a video – director or location still not revealed.
ONE is an organization championed by Bono from the music group U2 and seeks to help fight Poverty and HIV/AIDS in Africa.
