Rabiu of Jabi Motor Park had admitted committing the crime and also begged the court for leniency.

The judge, Mr Abubakar Sadiq, sentenced the convict to three months in prison without option of fine.

He warned the convict against taking to crime after serving his sentence.

The prosecutor, Mrs Florence Auhioboh, had told the court that the convict committed the offence on May 24 at about 4.a.m at Utako.

Auhioboh said that the convict criminally trespassed into Chisco Transport Ltd., Utako, and intentionally attempted to burgle a car but was caught in the act by security men on duty.

She told the court that during police investigation and interrogation, the convict admitted committing the offence.

The prosecutor said that the offence contravened the provisions of Sections 342 and 95 of the Penal Code.
