'My mistress is trying to trap me with a pregnancy'

My name is , a 39-year-old married man with three children. I am a businessman based in Lagos with my family. I have been married to for 10 years now and we had a very happy home.

But that was before I met Blessing who has turned my world apart and is hell bent on destroying my home. I know many people will blame me for allowing the she-devil to come into my life.

Before people judge me, I will, first of all, declare that I am not proud of cheating on my wife though I did not know it will come to this.

I thought I was having fun like other men when I met blessing at a party two years ago. Initially, I did not want anything serious with her. I just wanted to sleep with her as much as I could and dump her.

Blessing was introduced to me by who was dating my close friend, , who is also married. In fact, Anayo and Ebere encouraged us to start a relationship and it did not take long before we started sleeping together.

Blessing turned out to be very loving and caring, often doing things that even my wife did not do. Anytime I went to her place, she would dote on me, making me feel like a king.

She introduced me to all her friends and some of her family members, often jokingly telling them that I was her husband. Anytime I reminded her I was married, Blessing would sulk and tell me she wished she had met me when I was still single.

I was basking in her love and care, not knowing she had something up her sleeve for me until she announced that she was pregnant for me three months ago.

At first, I did not believe her because she had often told me she was on the pill and I had told her from the beginning that the issue of pregnancy should not come up in the relationship but when she showed me the test result, that was when I knew she was serious.

When I asked her why she stopped taking the pills, she said her doctor warned her against the continuous use of the pills and that they could affect her chances of getting pregnant in the future.

I begged Blessing to abort the baby and even offered to give her a lot of money to compensate her but she told me point blank that nothing would make her abort the baby because it could be her only chance of having a child.

In the past three months, I have begged, cajoled and even threatened her to get rid of the baby but Blessing would not budge.

Now, she has told me I have to go and meet her parents so they would know I am the one responsible for her pregnancy and that is akin to marrying her.
