The police are at the church to protect the church from angry youths.
The boys were initially reported missing before their lifeless bodies were found in a bus located on the church premises.
The policemen, amounting to 20 in number are said to have guarded the crime scene at both entry and exit points.
DSP Muyiwa Adejobi, the Ogun State Police spokesperson, revealed that the police are at the venue to maintain order while investigations are going on.
He said, “The policemen are to protect the scene of the crime and the church from being attacked by angry youths.”
A spokesperson for Christ Crusaders’ Deliverance Ministry, Mr. Yemi Adebisi, also said the church is not aware of how the corpses came to be found on their premises.
He claimed that they were dumped in the church compound.
Adebisi said, “We are not aware of how and when the corpses managed to get into the said vehicle. On the issue of the widely reported slippers allegedly found inside the vehicle, the church is also not aware."
"The vigil that was held that night on the premises is a routine event of the church. It was the church that reported the incident to the police immediately the corpses were discovered. And this is because the church has no ulterior motive and was totally unaware of the origin of the said corpses,”
The corpses of the two boys were found on Sunday, April 3, 2016, after their families had conducted a thorough search.
