The corpse of another new born child has been found by the Osun river in the state.
Punch correspondent gathered that the baby might have been dumped on the night prior to the discovery on Friday morning.
Speaking on the issue with Punch, one of the leaders in the community, Mr Fatai Olayiwola, expressed his shock at finding the dead baby.
Olayiwola revealed that the residents alerted the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps who showed up at the scene immediately.
He said, “I was informed by some resident that a new born baby was dumped close to the river. They said the baby was dead. I went there and saw the dead baby.
“We informed the Civil Defence Corps and they sent some of their officials to come to the scene. The baby was dead and swollen before that time. It had started decomposing by that time. I think the person, who dumped the baby did it the previous night.”
The Public Relations Officer of the NSCDC, Mr Afolabi Babawale, who also visited the scene, warned the public to desist from such wicked acts.
