A few days ago, there was international outrage when a concerned Uganadan father planted hidden cameras in his home after finding bruises on his 18-month-old daughter, only to find out that the child's nanny was the one brutalising the baby.
The shocked father posted the video on Facebook and what the nanny did has continued to draw a lot of condemnation all over the world.
In most Nigerian homes, it has become the fad for many parents to engage the services of nannies, some of them strangers, and only God knows what they do to the children left in their care.
Some working parents prefer to send their toddlers to creches but some of these creches are no different as some of the care givers have been found to actually drug these kids or do not give them the adequate attention they deserve.
