"Dear Pulse,
'My husband wants his younger brother to impregnate me'
Is there anything for a woman whose husband is impotent to employ his brother to get her pregnant?
My name is Veronica Okpara. I have been married for 12 years now without a fruit of the womb and there is no possibility of my husband ever impregnating me, that is medically, anyway.
You see, he has been diagnosed to have very low sperm count and try as much as we have done, it has been impossible for him to put me in the family way.
Typically, his parents have been on my neck, believing I am the reason their son has not given them a grandchild after all these years of marriage.
But last month, my husband came up with what he felt was the best solution to our problems. He told me he has discussed with his family and they all agree that his younger brother should sleep with me and He says they have decided to take this step so that the baby will still be in the family as against an option to adopt.
I told him point blank that I would not agree to to such an evil arrangement but he told me his family has given me an ultimatum to agree to their plans or I should pack out of my husband's house.
I am at a cross roads here: my faith abhors abortion and adultery is totally out of the way. What should I do to avoid this calamity looming on my head?
Veronica,
Enugu."
On Morning Teaser today, we ask: do you think it is a good decision for Veronica to allow her brother-in-law sleep with her?
