'My fiancee insists on sex before marriage'

Before I became born again, I was a cult member, drug addict, womanizer, sex pervert, drunkard, chain smoker and indulged in all kinds of atrocities. I felt that was the life and lived it to the fullest.

I decided to get close to my maker after two of my friends died in a ghastly motor accident on their way back to Lagos from Abuja where they had gone to attend a wild party thrown by another of our friends who lives there.

I was supposed to travel with them but at the last minute, a girl I had been chasing for months invited me to a church program and made sure I attended. The major reason I attended the program was because had been giving a tough time and I had vowed to .

So when she invited me for the night program, she gave me an ultimatum that I do not attend the program, she would never date me. I accepted to go to the program, seeing it as a bait to getting her into my bed.

But something happened at the program as I was called out to the front by the prophet who told me so many things about my life and I felt someone close to me had told him my history.

The man warned that I would go to hell if I died in my sins. he also urged me to repent of my sinful ways and give my life to Christ. In my mind, I was like 'na today?'

But all that changed in the morning when I heard the news that my friends and their girlfriends had all perished in the accident on their way back from Abuja. Apparently, they were all drunk and insisted on driving back to Lagos.

I recalled what the man of God told me and decided to amend my ways and at the next program, I gave my life to Christ and since then, I have been living for Him only.

I have graduated from Bible college and I am an assistant pastor in our church but my problem now is that Mercy whom I later proposed to, is adamant that we must have sex before we get married.

When we started dating, I made her realise that there will be no sex before marriage and she agreed but now, few months to our wedding, she told me she would not get married unless we have sex.

She says she wants to be sure that her husband to be is good in bed so that she would not be tempted if I am not able to satisfy her.

I love Mercy so much but I love God more than anything and would not want to offend Him but I don't think I can live without her.
