"Dear Pulse,
'My 14-yr-old daughter is pregnant for a rapist: what should I do?'
What would you do if your teenage daughter is pregnant after she was raped by an unknown man?
My name is Ibinabo and I am single mother of two kids, aged 14 and 12. I have a problem that I would want your readers to help me out before I make a wrong decision.
This issue has been tearing me apart and if I make a wrong choice, it could turn out to haunt me for life.
My first daughter, the 14-year-old girl was raped on her way back from a school lesson about two months ago and just last week, she fell sick and on taking her to the hospital and after a series of tests, it was discovered that she is pregnant for the rapist.
The doctor and many of my friends have advised I should for her since it would be a bastard but my pastor has advised against it.
I don't want to do anything that would put a scar on my daughter's life or make her go through life with guilt. Even now, she is blaming herself while I also blame myself for not protecting her enough.
Can someone help me out there?
Ibinabo,
Port Harcourt."
Dear readers, on Morning Teaser today, we ask: what would you advise Ibinabo to do? Should she take her daughter for an abortion or allow her to keep the baby?
