"Dear Pulse,

My name is Dayo and I have been married for two years but I am not enjoying my marriage. The reason for this is that my husband, Chris, is a sexual monster and he rapes me on a regular basis, inflicting pains on m and debasing my womanhood.

While we were dating, he was such a gentleman and whenever we had sex then, he was not rough. This behaviour started about a year ago when he came home drunk one night and forced himself on me right in the sitting room.

He did not even apologise and I attributed it to the alcohol he took. But two nights later, he repeated the same thing, this time in the kitchen where he tore my clothes and raped me.

I cried my heart out that day and asked him why he was doing that to me but he said he enjoys forcing himself on me.

This has continued unabated and when I reported to our pastor's wife, she told me it was a family thing and that no one would believe me if I say that my husband raped me.

I am tired, fed up and greatly hurt by his actions. How do I save myself from this brute?

Dayo."
