The presidential candidate of the All Progressive Congress, APC, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari, has been in the eye of the storm in the past few months over his educational qualifications to contest the 14 February, 2015, elections.
Does the possession of a certificate translate to the ability to rule Nigeria?
The burning issue on the Nigerian political clime is the certificate or lack thereof, of APC presidential candidate, Gen. Muhammadu Buhari.
The ruling Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has been making it an issue, with the military authorities going back and forth on the issue of the retired general having the necessary qualification to run for the election even as the electoral body, INEC, says the man is duly qualified to run.
The Nigerian Army too is not helping matters in the issue. First, it accepted that they in possession of Buhari's certificates but later, recanted, declaring that Buhari only presented a letter from his school principal when he was joining the army in 1961.
The issue is quite confusing, leading many to really wonder what the true position of things are.
On Morning Teaser today, we ask: does possession of certificates translate to the ability to rule the country effectively?
