An angry woman who bathed her husband with scalding water because he could not meet her outrageous financial demands has been jailed for four years.

60-year-old Teresa Gilbertson, a former police constable, committed the atrocious crime at the couple's home in Peterborough, UK, when she was still married to 65-year-old Ken Gregory after he failed to satisfy her 'unrealistic' financial demands, the Peterborough Crown Court heard.

The attack left Gregory with painful blistering stretching from his scalp to his lower back and according to doctors, may never fade even when they heal completely.

Judge Peter Murphy described it as a 'very sad case' but he said he saw 'no trace of remorse' in her.
