Police on the hunt for killers of press company's sales rep

The newspaper's circulation representative, Fabian Obi was shot three times on the chest which led to his death.

According to the Daily Post News, the assailants who launched an attack against the deceased from a motorcycle today, Monday, October 2, 2017, might have been earlier informed that he was in possession of an undisclosed amount of cash.

The money stolen from him is reportedly the income from sales of the previous day newspapers. Obi who was shot at his office in the late hours of the morning had died as soon as he got to the hospital.

Daily Post received confirmation about the incident from a source believed to be a worker at the Sun Newspapers. The informant told the news site that the victim had been confirmed dead.

“They ( robbers) have killed our circulation man . I’m rushing to the hospital where he was taken to. But, I can confirm to you the incident happened and that our circulation rep is dead,” a statement reads.

Police Public Relations Officer Nkeiruka Nwode revealed that the attention of the force is currently aimed at capturing the culprits. She urged calm while also giving assurances of the safety of lives.
