Woman in court for stealing N15,000 from boyfriend

A woman has been docked for stealing from her boyfriend.

Anthonia Hassan a 26-year-old woman based in Dutse Sokale in the Bwari Area Council of the Federal Capital Territory, has been dragged before an Abuja Grade 1 Area Court, for allegedly stealing the sum of N15, 000 and a plasma television set, valued at N60,000, belonging to her boyfriend, Oluwaseun Bolapin.

According to the police prosecutor in the case, Arziki Kaura, Hassan had visited the man at his residence and spent the night there but by the time Bolapin came back from work the next day, she had disappeared with the items.

He later lodged a complaint at the Dutse-Alhaji Police Station after which the suspect was arrested and charged to court.

However, when the charge of stealing was read to Hassan, she pleaded not guilty and the judge, Mohammed Marafa, granted her bail in the sum N100, 000 while the case was adjourned to September 30.
