Frank Gray and Ada Hatch, were childhood lovers back in 1946 when they met at a church camp.
Childhood sweethearts get married after 68 year of separation
A couple who met and fell in love in 1946 have rekindled their romance by getting married 68 years after being apart.
Their love was so strong they had plans of getting married but it was not to be; at least back then.
Six months later, the pair broke up and went their separate ways. They found new loves, got married to other people and raised different families but 68 years after that separation, the pair have rekindled their love affair and are now married.
Gray, whose wife died two years ago, heard that Hatch's husband had also passed away, so he reached out to try his luck with her one more time. And three calls later, she agreed to go on a date with him.
After rekindling their romance, the couple wasted no time. Gray and Hatch who are both 85-years-old tied the knot on Valentine's Day, February 14, 2015.
Gray said of his new bride:
"Well, we're both 85. How much longer do we have to enjoy each other? That's a big question and probably we haven't gotten too many years left here.
So why not try to enjoy it? And I couldn't think of a better way to enjoy it than to be with this girl."
