Kayode Agboola, a plumber who resides in Ikaramu-Akoko in Akoko North West local government area of Ondo State has been apprehended for killing a motorcyclist and making away with his motorcycle.

This happened after the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Ado Ekiti hired the deceased, Akinola Emmanuel, to take him to a village in the state.

He reportedly murdered Emmanuel in a bush before absconding with the vehicle.

Calls for justice have been sounded by residents of Ajowa Akoko community of Ekiti, who demanded that the suspect be made to face the consequences of his crime.

One of the agitators of this demand named Emmanuel said:

"He (suspect) must not be spared.

“This notorious murderer, who terminated the promising life of Akinola should be brought to book by the power of the law of the land.

“He (suspect) is now in the custody of the police. The world is waiting for the police not to be smeared by injustice, the power of money and influence.

"The world should hear about this nefarious, wicked, merciless and man to man calculated cruelty meant on this innocent boy. This young boy must not die in vain. His killer must be brought to book.”
