A suspected thief narrowly escaped being lynched to death by a vigilante group in Awoshie Anyaa area in, Accra, Ghana after he was caught allegedly breaking into a house to steal.

A vigilante group in Ghana took the laws into their hands and almost lynched a suspected thief to death.
OMG Ghana reports that the suspect who said he was a taxi driver, was said to have broken into the house of one of the residents of the area in an attempt to steal parts of his car but was caught due to an alarm raised by the owner of the car.
The local vigilante in the area quickly mobilised and got him arrested and instead of handing him over to the police, went ahead to lynch the man almost to the point of death.
The unlucky thief was lucky as but some residents prevented the group from burning him to death.
