A truck driver, and his company have been set ablaze in Osholo village, in the Etsako East Local Government Area of Edo State after their vehicle killed three people at a burial ceremony.
Mob sets truck driver ablaze
Some youths in the community set the truck on fire after forcing him and his company inside.
Some angry youth served them jungle justice by forcing them back into the truck and setting it ablaze, also killing the men.
In an act of retaliation, some youths from Weppa Community in Edo State, where the truck driver hails from also stormed Oshola village and burnt a few houses.
To prevent more loss of lives and properties, policemen from the Edo State Police Command were deployed to the communities to restore order.
Mr. Chris Ezike, the Edo State Commissioner of Police confirmed the incident, and stated that investigations are currently ongoing.
Some unconfirmed number of suspects have also been taken into custody in respect to the violence.
