Jay Search Kicks Off December 16, 2011

The exciting and entertaining talent hunt show put together by the Aboderin family in honour of their late brother Jaiye Aboderin- Jay’s Search will kick off in a matter of days.

Jay Search is a bi-annual music talent search dedicated to the memory of late Jaiye Aboderin (1971-2004), who died December 3, 2004 after he slumped during a casual game of basketball with friends.

In a statement released this week, the committee says “All is now set for this year’s Jay Search. Online auditions ended on Monday November 14, 2011, and we are finally set for the live auditions. We have a total of Twenty (20) finalists for this phase.”

The grand finale will take place on December 16, 2011 at the grand ball room of the Lagos Oriental Hotel, Lekki. Six finalists will slug it out for a cash prize of N250, 000, a Kopykats Entertainment recording deal for one single, one music video, a makeover/photo shoot, airplay, promotions and publicity, during an exciting evening of music, comedy, dinner and dance. Anonther N100, 000 cash will go  the 1 runner-up while the 2 runner-up gets N75, 000 cash.  The remaining 3 finalists will also get consolation cash prizes of N50,000 naira each.
