A man identified as Mammman Dankarami, from the Goru village in Arewa Local Government Area of Kebbi State, set his sleepy village into a panic mode after he allegedly stabbed his three children to death before jumping into a well, but was stopped by residents before he could increase the number of dead bodies to four.

A mentally deranged man in Kebbi has been taken to a psychiatric hospital after he murdered his three young children.

According to the Sole Administrator of the local government, Alhaji Muhammadu Dan Kaku, the incident occurred on Sunday, May 1, at about 8a.m.
While briefing journalists in Birnin-Kebbi, the state capital, Kaku said the man is suspected to me mentally deranged and has been taken to Jega Psychiatric Hospital to access his state of health.

“They were all male children between ages of five months and three years. After slaughtering his children with a knife, he jumped into a well in order to kill himself but he was saved by the local government officials and the police.”
