3 illegal oil lubricants factories shut down by NSCDC, DSS, DPR
A joint operation involving the NSCDC, DPR and DSS, has led to the shutting down of three oil lubricant blending factories.

The joint patrol team of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) and Department of Security Service (DSS) were in charge of the operation following a tip-off, arresting 50 suspects in the process.
The three oil factories sealed up are Segma Oil Limited, Ogbondoroko in Asa Local Government area, Manner Business Ventures and Wobles venture in Offa Garage area of llorin.
Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), the Commandant of NSCDC corps in Kwara, Mr Pedro ldeba, revealed that the three companies have been operating and producing oil illegally, adding that the products produced have been confirmed to be fake by the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR).
Ideba also disclosed that the command arrested 50 persons which included the directors and staff of the three sealed factories. He said that some trucks, as well as equipments, were impounded by the command.

The three companies reportedly operate at night and were not registered before beginning operations.
