6 elderly men arraigned for damaging fence

Six men have been arraigned in court over the alleged damage of a fence valued at N1 million.

The suspects, Philip Akinyemi, 75, Isaac Oloruntoba, 65, Falade Oladeji, 35, Abiodun Aguda,63, Falade Tope, 45 and Falade Ajayi, 40, reportedly committed the offence at about 2:00pm on Tuesday, August 30 at Ise-Ekiti.

Police prosecutor, Insp. Caleb Leranmo alleged that the accused, destroyed a building fence valued at N1 million belonging to one Mr Michael Adetiloye, unlawfully.

The offence Contravened Section 451 of the Criminal Code, Cap C 16, Laws of Ekiti State, 2012.

However, the accused pleaded not guilty to the allegations levelled against them.

Chief Magistrate, Adesoji Adegboye, granted the accused bail in the sum of N100,000 and one surety each. adjourning the case to October 24 for hearing.
