In Ondo Man arrested for beheading 5-yr-old niece [Very Graphic Photo]

Mr. Samuel Omosaba, had reportedly been arrested on Tuesday evening following the allegations that he had beheaded his 5-yr-old niece, Adubarin Kola at Ilepa quarters in Ikare-Akoko.

News reports have revealed the grievous news that a  42 year-old man, has been arrested after beheading his 5-yr-old niece.

The suspect, Mr. Samuel Omosaba, had reportedly been arrested on Tuesday evening following the allegations that he had beheaded his 5-yr-old niece, Adubarin Kola at Ilepa quarters in Ikare-Akoko, Akoko North East local government area of Ondo State.

According to reports by the Daily Post, Omosaba, who has been jobless and single had contacted a herbalist in Ipe-Akoko, making inquiries for blood money.

The reports revealed that the herbalist had told him he needed the head of a baby if he wanted to become rich.

The deceased Adubarin, is reported to have been left in the custody of her grandmother at Ilepa quarters in Ikare whenever her mother who is a trader, identified as Bunmi, was going to the market to sell her wares.

Reports reveal that little Adubarin had met her untimely death on the faithful day after her mother had taken mother-in-law but had her brother-in-law instead, who had promised to watch the child until her grandmother returned.

Upon her return, Bunmi had met her daughter’s lifeless body in Samuel’s room, with the suspect revealed to have confessed to his family members, the reason behind the dastardly act.

Aggrieved youths in the community had been set on lynching Omosaba but for the timely intervention of the police.

The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), Mr. Femi Joseph, confirmed the incident, saying that the matter had been transferred to the State Criminal Investigative Department (CID) Akure for further investigation.
