A Nigerian man has according to reports been sentenced to death by hanging after being found guilty of drug trafficking in Malaysia.

A Malaysian high court reportedly sentenced the 37-yr-old Nigerian man known as Ekene Collins Isaac, to death by hanging, today, December 28.

The sentence was passed down after Mr Isaac was found guilty of trafficking 915.6 grammes of methamphetamine 3 years back in Malaysia.

According to court papers, Isaac who had been a cleaner in Nigeria, allegedly committed the offence at Wad 6C, Serdang Hospital, at Jalan Puchong, Kajang, between 7.20 a.m. on March 3, 2012 and 1.00 p.m. on March 5 of the same year.

The contra-banned drugs were reportedly found inside his body.

Presiding Judge of the case, Datuk Wan Afrah Wan Ibrahim, had pronounced the sentence after the prosecution had proven Isaac guilty of the charges.
