“The victims’ mothers got to know after one of them fell sick and confessed. The accused was then apprehended,” she said.
The Chief Magistrate, Mr Tajudeen Elias, ordered that the accused be remanded at Kirikiri Prisons, till Feb. 3, pending the hearing of his bail application.
The accused, who lives at 12, Shonola St., Aguda, Ogba, a suburb in Lagos, is facing a four-count charge bordering on defilement.
He, however, pleaded not guilty to the charge.
The prosecutor, Cpl. Zainab Amedu had told the court that the offences were committed in October 2015 at the accused residence.
Amedu said the accused, who resides in the same compound with the victims, who are 8 and 11 years, defiled them in his room.
"He usually calls them with the pretence of sending them on errands and then carries out his evil act.
Amedu said the offences contravened Sections 137 and 259 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011.
