Court arraigns man for sexually molesting 9-yr-old boy

The victim disclosed to his mother that he was sexually molested by the accused who committed the offence at his residence.

An Ikeja Chief Magistrates’ Court, Lagos has arraigned a man identified as Desmond Asiegbulem for sexually molesting a 9-year-old boy.

The accused committed the offence at his residence located at 8, Alhaja Abibatu Street Shogunle, Daily Post reports.

Simeon Inuoha, the police prosecutor in the case said Asiegbulem is being tried for an indecent treatment of the child whom he penetrated through the anus.

“The accused defiled the victim through the anus. He also inserted his penis into the victim’s mouth, forcing him to suck him.

“It was when the anus started paining the victim that he told his mother what the accused did to him.

“The offence contravened Section 135 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2011."

B. O. Osunsanmi, the Chief Magistrate of the court granted the accused bail in the sum of N200,000 with two sureties paying like sum after his not guilty plea.

The case has been adjourned till Thursday, February 9, 2017, for further hearing.
