Bride dies mysteriously in her sleep on wedding night

The groom identified as, Krzysztof Michalowski had just married his bride, Mariola Orzechowska, barely hours before he had made the shocking discovery on Saturday morning.

Sad news as a groom reportedly wakes up the morning after his wedding to find his new bride dead beside him.

The groom identified as, Krzysztof Michalowski had just married his bride, Mariola Orzechowska, barely hours before he had made the shocking discovery on Saturday morning.

Mariola who had reportedly suffered epilepsy is believed to have suffered a fit in her sleep, although the official cause of death is yet to be ascertained.

Her husband had made the disheartening discovery in the home they had shared in Catterick, North Yorkshire, after feeding their baby, thinking that Mariola had still been asleep.

A close friend of Kris', Michael Jonas said:

"It should have been one of the happiest days of Mariola’s life. At their wedding reception it was clear for all to see that Kris and Mariola were very much in love.

"They had two beautiful children - both under four years of age - and they had plans, a future together and everything to live for but no-one could have seen the tragedy ahead.

"After the celebrations were over, Mariola went to bed and fell asleep and never woke up again. She might have dreamt of her wonderful wedding day spent with her husband, children, family and friends, or the happiness they'd shared together. But the brutal reality is that she lived only one day and one night as his wife.

"The family are devastated and heartbroken. We all know how cruel life can be, but surely this is one of the cruelest twists of fate."
